PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL HEARING REGARDING AN APPLICATION FOR A NON-METALLIC MINING RECLAMATION PERMIT MODIFICATION

A public informational hearing for the purpose of explaining and receiving comment on the nature, feasibility and effects of the proposed reclamation in accordance with Chapter NR 135 and the Dunn County Chapter 20 Non-Metallic Mining Reclamation Ordinance will be held on Thursday May 3rd at 1:30 p.m. It will be held in the Multi-Purpose room 1402 of the Judicial Center at 615 Stokke Parkway, Menomonie, Wisconsin 54751. Candy Anderson, Milestone Materials, 920 10th Avenue North, Onalaska, Wisconsin, has applied for a Non-Metallic Mining Reclamation permit modification to the existing permit on file #01-84 Downing Quarry.

The mine site location is in the SW ¼ of Section 6, Township 29 North, Range 14 West in the Town of Stanton, Dunn County, Wisconsin. The reasons for the permit modification to an existing site are as follows:

The products from mining will be limestone and sandstone. The site will include 20 additional acres. The reclamation plan will be amended to reflect these modifications.
